BACKGROUND

Affinity Petcare is Spain’s leading pet food manufacturer and ranked third in Europe. Rapid expansion has led to an increase in staff numbers and therefore a move to new larger premises.

OBJECTIVE

To design a space which encourages a more collaborative culture and brings the spirit of the brand to life.

CONCEPT

Affinity’s internal philosophy is people come first so this was the starting point with the planning. An open plan layout has replaced the old cellular offices, encouraging interaction between the teams. The window spaces are all communal, whether for informal meetings or to take time out. Enclosed offices and meeting rooms are all located in an island block set back from the windows so there is no loss of light and no one misses out on the beautiful views over the Barcelona hills.

 

To illustrate Affinity’s extensive product range, the reception wall is created from miniturized versions of the packaging. At first glance this colourful wall appears to be just decorative, but a closer inspection reveals the diversity of the various product lines.

There are elements throughout the offices, such as wicker basket chairs, dog lamps, pet food bowls in reference to the core nature of the Affinity Petcare business.
